The Real John Roberts
Don't be fooled by the bubble wrap the Bush theocracy is desperately trying to keep around John (don't call him Oral) Roberts. The Bushies don't want to release his papers from all the White House work he's done -- they're afraid of you, and what you'll do if you find out what a right wing nut job he is. But all you need to know in order to know what John Roberts is and why he's been selected, you can learn from these two quotes:
"For those who say I can't impose my morality on others, I say just watch me." - Joseph Scheidler, Executive Director, Pro-Life Action League, PRO-LIFE ACTION NEWS, August 8, 1989
Roberts is "exactly the kind of judge I want to appear before when I bring my case to the Supreme Court." -- Joe Scheidler, Pro-Life Action League
Don't be fooled. This is the true Republican theocratic agenda. American democracy is under direct threat, kids -- not from outside religious fundamentalist terrorists, but from the religious fundamentalists within.

"american democracy is under direct threat"????
Gimme a break. I though american democracy was the process of making decisions based on majority views based on an election process. When Clinton was elected, he appointed judges who would tote the liberal line, just as Reagan appointed conservative judges. Well, now it's Bush's turn. American democracy is not under direct threat, it's being executed.

By the way, I know what a baseball fan you are, check out the article on ESPN "The Americanization of Ichiro"

I second Alan's comments. Won an election, get used to it.
More importantly -- let's talk about Raffy Palmiero.
That's an argument we can get into.
I still think he belongs in the Hall.

Yo Tommy, thanks for the support.
I agree that Raffy belongs in the Hall. But what about Baby Bonds? Is it the same or a completely different issue. For example, maybe Raffy used growth hormones to overcome the aches and pains of an aging athelete, resulting in consistent performance well into his mid-30's. But B B Barry, may have achieved a different competitive advantage with his roid enhanced muscular body. It's just a thought. I haven't decided... Maybe roids are roids, and if Raffy is in, so is Bonds.
